Collaborations With The Bus and a Day Job
These drawing-paintings were made on my way to work.
"I get to my drawings, not first thing in the morning like Leonard Cohen, but third thing in the morning these days. I eat breakfast, walk for an hour and then catch the bus, sit at the back where it is a most bumpy ride and draw all the way to Delta from the Vancouver Art Gallery. The paint used on the drawings is what we are using on the Mural. Just before starting the day’s painting, I dropped a splash of paint onto the drawing of the day and quickly closed and opened my sketchbook.
